Seminar participants will receive one free range of motion assessment on the joint that is the primary area of concern. Additional range of motion testing may be conducted at future appointments if you become a patient. Limit one assessment on one joint per patient.
The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body and it allows you to move your shoulder forward and backward and your arm up, down, sideways, and around in a circle. A shallow ball in socket joint, the shoulder is made up of the humerus, clavicle, shoulder blade, and the rotator cuff. The rotator cuff is made up of four tendons that connect the muscles in your shoulder joint to bone. A torn rotator cuff is a common shoulder injury that can lead to chronic inflammation and pain. Additionally, disorders such as arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis, bone spurs, pinched nerves, and/or overuse can also lead to chronic inflammation. Inflammation causes the degeneration and deterioration of healthy tissues and tendons which is the main cause of chronic shoulder pain. When the tissues of the shoulder become severely degenerated, it can lead to loss of motion of the arm and shoulder. Doctors typically suggest cortisone shots, pain medication, or surgery to manage chronic shoulder pain. Unfortunately, these treatments do not have very positive outcomes. Even patients who receive surgery to repair rotator cuff tears often experience ongoing chronic pain.
At Chronic Care of Richmond our doctors in Richmond practice an alternative, naturopathic based, non-invasive and drug free therapy for chronic shoulder pain. Utilizing chronic pain treatment, our therapy allows the body to perform its natural healing processes. Our procedure addresses both the chronic pain and tissue degeneration that our patients experience.
Some of the conditions that can cause chronic shoulder pain include:
A bursa is a fluid-filled sac that cushions bones and soft tissues in joints. Bursitis is the swelling or inflammation of a bursa. The condition can occur due to repetitive movements, overuse, or injury from a fall. It commonly affects people who do manual labor, such as carpentry or gardening. Bursitis most often occurs in the shoulder and may develop in the elbow and hip. It sometimes develops when arthritis affects the joint.
Tendons connect muscle to bone. Inflammation of a tendon (tendonitis) can be caused by injury or overuse; it also can occur with rheumatoid arthritis and other types of arthritis, diabetes, gout, thyroid disease, or other conditions that cause an increase in blood sugar levels. Tendinitis most often occurs at the front of the shoulder (subacromial bursitis).
Inflammation of the joints is referred to as arthritis. Both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis affect the shoulder. Degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis result from wear and tear over time. The body attacks its own cells in rheumatoid arthritis, causing inflammation and joint damage.
The rotator cuff comprises four tendons that surround the shoulder joint and help to hold it together while lifting and rotating your arm. Tendonitis occurs when these tendons become inflamed, usually due to repetitive stress or strain on the joint. A rotator cuff tear occurs when one or more tendons in the rotator cuff become torn, usually due to falling on an outstretched arm or repeatedly lifting heavy weights overhead.

Dr. Bryant Snyder is a leader in the field of non-drug, non-surgical chronic pain procedures. He has successfully managed thousands of patients suffering from chronic joint pain, peripheral neuropathy, and other chronic neurological and metabolic conditions.
Dr. Bryant Snyder graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia and has been in full-time practice since 2002. He regularly attends post-graduate educational seminars on topics such as regenerative medicine, functional neurology, functional medicine, spinal structure, and nutrition and also consults other doctors in his profession.
Dr. Snyder is a graduate of the American Functional Neurology Institute (AFNI). He is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine and is a diplomate in Whole Medical Systems from the American Association of Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Snyder and his wife of 20 years, Jenneane, have three beautiful children, Delaney, Chloe, and Crosby. They enjoy sports of all kinds as well as hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Growing up Jenneane always got an “x” in that box on the report card for “Excessive talking”. Although her teachers may not have agreed at the time, that “x” that just reflected her love of people – being around them, talking to them, helping them. Her passion for people transitioned into a passion for little people as an elementary school teacher. She later moved on to work in a successful children’s franchise company in which she eventually became Vice President, where she helped people who wanted to bring enrichment education to children in their community. But everything changed when Bryant first learned about regenerative medicine and how it was helping people with chronic pain. He was in his 16th year of practice when they realized that by incorporating stem cells into the practice, they could not only help current patients, but they could also help the people in our community who are living with chronic pain and have lost hope. Those who have tried everything else and just want their life back! This was the only natural path for them to take. So, Jenneane quit her career, they both received an immense amount of training, they worked hard, and here they are – offering a safe, affordable, effective, non-invasive procedure for chronic pain to their community. When she is not working in or on their practice, she is with the people she is most passionate about – their three kiddos, Delaney, Chloe, and Crosby who keep them busy and happy. And, at the root of it all, everyone has the right to be happy. If you are living with chronic pain, you, too, can once again be truly happy! Jenneane is seeing the life-changing results in their patients and that, too, makes her happy.
