The decision to lose weight can stem from many different factors. Perhaps you want to lessen joint stress, improve mobility, gain more confidence or simply improve your overall health. For as many instigators for weight loss, there are also numerous options when looking into ways to help you lose that weight. The amount of weight loss programs offered across the web has skyrocketed in recent years, making it overwhelming to search for the best weight loss program for your body, lifestyle and health. If you’re searching for the ideal way to lose weight and keep it off, here are some things you should keep in mind about weight loss programs and why Chronic Care of Richmond’s program might be the right choice for you.
Weight loss programs seem to come in all different shapes and sizes. Several programs focus on restricting caloric intake while also limiting carbs and fat, others execute intense workout schedules, and some reduce appetite. A low-carb diet, for example, severely limits carb intake by offering high amounts of protein and fat, whereas a low-fat diet discourages the consumption of animal products and is generally high in carb intake as a result.
Many of these programs promote a fast way to lose weight by offering tasteless prepackaged food for weeks on end and enacting a low caloric intake which only succeeds in starving the body, leaving you exhausted and unsatisfied. Losing weight (and keeping weight off) is far more than simply eating less and exercising more.
The main disadvantage of low-fat diets is that they are unsustainable. They may give you short-term results, but they usually require an extreme diet and exercise regime that is unreasonable for you to implement indefinitely in your lifestyle. A diet that has a near-starvation caloric intake paired with an intense workout schedule is unhealthy to endure indefinitely and will not work for everyone. These programs don’t work with you; you are expected to work with them.
The results of low-carb and low-fat diets may also be temporary. Because these programs are not individualized and not designed to be long-term, many participants find that once they reach their target weight and finish the program their weight will not stay off. When weight is lost in such brutal conditions, the body will often retaliate by simply gaining that weight back. This can be deeply discouraging when trying to find the best weight loss program that works for your body and lifestyle.

Dr. Bryant Snyder is a leader in the field of non-drug, non-surgical chronic pain procedures. He has successfully managed thousands of patients suffering from chronic joint pain, peripheral neuropathy, and other chronic neurological and metabolic conditions.
Dr. Bryant Snyder graduated from Life University in Marietta, Georgia and has been in full-time practice since 2002. He regularly attends post-graduate educational seminars on topics such as regenerative medicine, functional neurology, functional medicine, spinal structure, and nutrition and also consults other doctors in his profession.
Dr. Snyder is a graduate of the American Functional Neurology Institute (AFNI). He is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine and is a diplomate in Whole Medical Systems from the American Association of Integrative Medicine.
Dr. Snyder and his wife of 20 years, Jenneane, have three beautiful children, Delaney, Chloe, and Crosby. They enjoy sports of all kinds as well as hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities.
Growing up Jenneane always got an “x” in that box on the report card for “Excessive talking”. Although her teachers may not have agreed at the time, that “x” that just reflected her love of people – being around them, talking to them, helping them. Her passion for people transitioned into a passion for little people as an elementary school teacher. She later moved on to work in a successful children’s franchise company in which she eventually became Vice President, where she helped people who wanted to bring enrichment education to children in their community. But everything changed when Bryant first learned about regenerative medicine and how it was helping people with chronic pain. He was in his 16th year of practice when they realized that by incorporating stem cells into the practice, they could not only help current patients, but they could also help the people in our community who are living with chronic pain and have lost hope. Those who have tried everything else and just want their life back! This was the only natural path for them to take. So, Jenneane quit her career, they both received an immense amount of training, they worked hard, and here they are – offering a safe, affordable, effective, non-invasive procedure for chronic pain to their community. When she is not working in or on their practice, she is with the people she is most passionate about – their three kiddos, Delaney, Chloe, and Crosby who keep them busy and happy. And, at the root of it all, everyone has the right to be happy. If you are living with chronic pain, you, too, can once again be truly happy! Jenneane is seeing the life-changing results in their patients and that, too, makes her happy.
