About Regenerative Medicine

Learn more about regenerative medicine, and how Chronic Care of Richmond & Regenerative Medicine is helping others with their chronic pain.

What Are Stem Cells?

Stem cells are the basic building blocks of human tissue. They have the ability to repair, rebuild, and rejuvenate tissues throughout the body. When disease or injury strikes, stem cells respond to specific signals and set out to facilitate the healing process by differentiating into specialized cells.

Why Stem Cell Therapy?

Regenerative medicine using stem cells uses the body's natural ability to regenerate tissue and decrease inflammation to help alleviate and cease symptoms associated with a variety of diseases. It is a safe and effective option for those seeking to relieve the symptoms of chronic pain and improve their quality of life.

Where Do Stem Cells Come From?

We use human cell and tissue products that are derived from the umbilical cords of healthy, full-term deliveries. Our products do not contain any embryonic or fetal tissue. They are minimally processed to preserve what's valuable. Then they are cryogenically frozen in an FDA-registered lab.

Autologous vs. Allogenic

At Chronic Care of Richmond & Regenerative Medicine, we use the mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from Wharton's Jelly in our regenerative medicine procedures. Wharton's Jelly is derived via an allogeneic process, versus the autologous method of other practices.

Step 1

If you are interested in regenerative medicine (especially regenerative procedures using stem cells), we suggest that you begin by registering for one of our free educational seminars or call us to reserve your seat.

Step 2

While attending our brief seminar, you will learn about regenerative procedures using stem cells, and the affordable options associated. You'll leave with a clear understanding of alternative options available to help address your chronic pain.

Step 3

Once you've attended a seminar, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation with our medical staff to review your health history, perform a physical exam, take x-rays if needed (at no additional cost), and provide a personalized recommendation.

Step 4

Receive your regenerative procedure and let the therapeutic results begin! Follow-up appointments at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months are included as we monitor your progress.
